The Council is making changes to Bin Collections In Cardiff due to the Corona Virus outbreak.
Changes in the bin collections in Cardiff have been implemented to keep residents and staff safe. This is understandable as they want to lower the risk of the staff and the residents getting infected by this virus. Even though some services have been cancelled, there are still other services currently running and will be in constant review by the council.
In Cardiff starting from Monday 23 March, Garden Waste will no longer be collected until further notice.
From Monday 30 March Recycling bags will be collected on a fortnightly basis. They will be collected on the same week as general waste (black bin.)
Residents on the Glass Collection trials have been instructed to put glass items in their green recycling bags for collection. As the trials have been cancelled for now.
Recycling Centres
Recycling centres at Lamby Way and Bessemer Close are now closed, due to government advice.
There is no lie that these changes can possibly have some effects on households but it is important for the council to try and keep a good service, especially for those residents that need help the most.
