We were kindly invited to Wales Millennium Centre today, on a family day out to watch The Amazing Adventures of Little Red.

This was an invitation we could not resist, because firstly who doesn’t love Little Red Riding Hood and secondly it was a chance to spend some time with the family and feel some sense of normality again.
This play was certainly a different take on the original Little Red Riding Hood story. With fairies, a wolf, a sheep, a crazy but funny grandma and many funny moments. There was a lot of vocal interaction with the kids as well as adults and the opportunity to watch the kids smile with all of the funny parts in this play.

Red is trying to find her own way, but she must go through some challenges before that can happen. She challenges a wolf, comes accross a Super Sheep and fights off an evil fairy queen.
It was a nice experience for the children, as people are slowly going back to their old normal of going out to public places and interacting with others.
The Weston Studio was a descent sized room, which makes it cozy and a more controlled environment. In this current situation it is safer to be in a smaller group of people. Each family/group of people had their own rows of seats and you were not so far from the stage. Which made it easier for the littles ones to see properly.

This show is from Williams and Ross, who are award winners. It is a family friendly show, from the ages 3+.
The show runs for 1 hour approximately, with no intervals.
The kids had a blast and they have loved this experience. Thanks to Wales Millennium Centre. It is always a pleasure to visit you.
This play was part of the Wales Millennium Centre, Cabaret Season. You can check out their cabaret performances on:
