Wales has been given the go-ahead by the government to start re-opening businesses. So far we have been told the change will be gradual and this will hopefully help people and businesses ease into a completely new routine.
Businesses will have to put special measures in place to protect their staff and their customers and that is why they have been given a few weeks to prepare for these changes.
What are the changes coming in the next few weeks?
It has been confirmed from the 11th July self-catering accommodation can re-open.
Pubs, restaurants and cafes will be able to open outdoors. Barbers, hairdressers and mobile hairdressers will also re-open from the 13th of July.
Places such as playgrounds and community centres will open from the 20th July, which means they will open just before the summer holidays.
From the 27th July places such as tattoo parlours, cinemas, museums and galleries, beauty salons will be permitted to re-open.
It has been announced that if the opening of pubs, restaurants and cafes goes well and the virus is controlled, then they will allow for these places to open their indoors facilities from 3rd August.
Back to School
All of these news come after it was announced that schools in Wales will be able to fully open in September on a full time basis, for all pupils.
Schools will be given the option to open either on the 1st September or the 14th September.
It has been said the two-week window will give headteachers time to prepare or will allow year groups doing exams to come back two weeks earlier.
However we do have to keep in mind, these changes will only happen if there is a continued decline of Covid-19 within the community.
We cannot deny that some people will still feel apprehensive, because even though the shops will start to re-open, the Covid-19 is still out there. But it is also a relief for businesses to be given the chance to re-open and get a sense of normality again.
